2 lb fresh sweet potatoes cut tin chunks
2 apples cored, peeled and sliced
2/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbl sugar

PReheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large pot of salted water, cook 2 lbs sweet potatoes for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain well and mash a bit.

Spread sweet potatoes in lightly buttered 9 x 13 baking pan. Top with sliced apples.

In a small bowl mix syrup, butter, salt and sugar. Pour over apples and sweet potatoes.

Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.

Serve hot.
