1 recipe for single crust pie
c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
6 c. thinly sliced, peeled cooking apples
1 recipe Crumb Topping
c. chopped pecans
c. caramel ice cream topping

In large mixing bowl stir together sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Add apple slices and gently toss til coated. Transfer apple mixture to the crust. Sprinkle Crumb Topping over apple mixture


Stir together 1 c. brown sugar, c. flour, and c. quick cooking rolled oats. Cut in c. butter or margarine til the topping mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

To prevent overbrowning, cover edge of pie with foil. Bake in 375 oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 25-30 minutes more til top is golden. Remove from oven; sprinkle pie with pecans, then drizzle with caramel topping.
