3 cups Pillsbury's Best All Purpose or Unbleached flour
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3/4 cup. butter or margarine
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. (4 cups) chopped walnuts

Butter-cream or cream cheese frosting

Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour 15 X 10 inch jelly roll pan or two 9 inch square pans. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In medium bowl, combine flour, salt, and soda. In large bowl, cream butter; gradually add brown sugar. Mix until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. In a small bowl, combine milk and vanilla. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture; mixing well after each addition. Stir in chopped walnuts. Spread into prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
