Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Recipe

1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup
1 can (20 oz) sliced pineapple, drained
Maraschino cherries
1 1/3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg
Sweetened whipping cream

Melt butter and pour into a 9X9X2 baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar over the butter. Arrange the pineapple slices on the brown sugar and place a maraschino cherry in the center of each slice. Beat the remaining ingredients together (not the whipping cream). Pour over the pineapple. Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes of until the cake is done. Immediately turn upside down onto a heatproof plate. Cool 15 minutes and serve warm with whipped cream.
