8 ounces elbow macaroni
6 tbsp butter or margarine
cup bread crumbs
cup flour
tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
tsp pepper
tsp worchestershire sauce
3 cups milk (skim OK)
3 tbsp chopped onion
lb grated sharp cheddar cheese

Cook and drain pasta. Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Remove 1 to 2 tbsp of butter to mix with bread crumbs in a small bowl. Saute onion in remaining butter. Blend flour and seasonings into onion/butter mixture. Gradually add milk and stir until thickened. Remove from heat, add cheese, and stir. Add to macaroni in a 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture on top. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
