1-1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
2 C. diced potatoes
2 C. diced carrots
2 C. tomato juice
2 C. dice onions
1 C. diced celery
2 T. minced parsley
3 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
Dash of pepper
6 C. water
1 bay leaf
1/4 C. rice or barley

Brown meat. Add rest of ingredients in pot and cook until done. Simmer until ready to eat. Can add more water if it cooks down. We like more potatoes in our soup.
