1 1/2 C packed brown sugar
1/2 C butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 C buttermilk
2 C finely diced rhubarb

Grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan. Cream brown sugar, butter and egg. Add vanilla.

Sift flour, soda and salt together.

Add alternately with the buttermilk to the creamed ingredients. Fold in rhubarb. Spred into baking pan.

Mix: 1/4 C sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon together and sprinkle heavily over the top of the unbaked cake. Bake 45 to 50 min at 350 degrees.
