Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe

3 cups sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cocoa
3/4 cups water
1 cup smooth peanut butter

In a large bowl, mix sugar & cocoa well.
In a sauce pan bring water to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to medium & add cocoa mixture.
Cook to a soft ball stage of about 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to low & add butter & vanilla, stir until butter melts.
Remove the pan from the heat & quickly add peanut butter, stir until blended. Pour immediately into a greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan. Score 1-inch squares while warm. Let cool 20 minutes & cut when firm.
