Veal Goulash Recipe

3-4 large onions (chopped fine)
4 tbsp butter
2 lbs Veal leg or cutlets (cut into small pieces)
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 large tsp salt
2 large tomatoes (or can) cut up
1 small green pepper (chopped)
2 tbsp water
Mushrooms (sliced & cooked) if desired
2 tbsp capers and their liquid
1 c sour cream

Cook onions in butter in a large saucepan fitted with a lid until golden brown.. Add Veal, paprika, and salt. Cook 'till meat browns. Stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes, green pepper, and water. Add sliced cooked mushrooms. Cover and cook slowly for 45 minutes, or until meat is tender adding water if necessary. Add capers and their liquid, and sour cream. Cook for a few more minutes. Serve with buttered noodles or rice.
