2-1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cups chopped nuts
1 package chocolate chips
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sift together all dry ingredients and set aside. Blend shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add flour and mix well, add oatmeal, vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 325 for about 12 minutes.
