1 1/2 lb fresh asparagus
3 tbsp oil
8-10 cloves garlic, cut into thin slices lengthwise
1 tbsp Hunan chili oil
5 tsp sugar
5 tsp rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp salt

1. remove stem ends and peel tough part of asparagus. Cut diagonally into 2" pieces.

2. Cook asparagus for about 2 1/2 minutes in boiling water. Plunge in ice-cold water to stop cooking. Drain.

3. Heat oil in hot wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic slices, stirring for 30 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients and blend well. Turn off heat.

4. In a large glass bowl put toss the asparagus well with the dressing refrigerate until ready to serve.
