2 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. ground nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
2 c. chopped apples
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

In large bowl, combine first 3 ingredients and blend @ low speed until crumbly. Stir in nuts. Press 2 3/4 c. of crumb mixture in ungreased 9 x 13 pan. To remaining mixture, add all ingredients, except apples. Blend well. Stir in apples. Spoon evenly over base. Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into squares. Serve warm or cold. Great with ice cream!
