4 Tbs. sugar
2 Tbs. butter
1 Tbs. flour
2 eggs separated
Vanilla to taste

Directions:

Cook flour by adding 1 cup boiling water, then butter, sugar and egg yolk creamed together.
While hot add the whites of egg, well beaten.
Flavor with vanilla.

Nanna (Anna Campbell) used to make a one egg loaf cake- sliced it when cool- and served a slice covered with the above sauce. It was delicious!!
