Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe

1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 1/2 c sugar
1 pt. sour cream
4 eggs
pinch of salt

3 cups of sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 1/2 t vanilla

1/2 c brown sugar
2 t flour
1 t cinnamon
1/2 c ground nuts (optional)

350 oven
Grease and flour sides and bottom of pan
Beat all of 1st 4 ingredients for 10 minutes

Add next four ingredients. Mix well

Last four ingredients are considered filling.

Bake in 10 in tube pan or angel food pan.
Alternate dough and filling, making 3 layers of filling. Save some filling to sprinkle on top.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool thoroughly before removing from pan. If angel food cake pan, invert while cooling.
