2 c raisins
1 c water
Boil together on low heat until water is absorbed. Cool. Then make like regular cookies with the following ingredients:
1 1/2 c white sugar
1 c shortening
3 eggs beaten
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 1/2 c flour
1 c chopped nuts

Directions:

Chill for several hours. Roll into balls. Dip in sugar. Bake@350º for 12 min or until light brown.
