Directions:Put flour and sugar in mixing bowl. In saucepan, combine water, butter and cocoa. Bring to a boil and then pour the warm mixture over the flour and sugar mixture. Mix and then add the remaining ingredients. Put in a greased 15 inch cookie sheet/jelly roll pan. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes. Do not over bake.
Frosting: Let the cake cool for 10 minutes and then begin making frosting. Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Then using electric beaters add the powdered sugar one cup at a time until it starts to thicken. You want it to be thin enough to pour from the pan and thick enough to solidify in about 25 minutes. Spread evenly over the top of warm cake. |
