Pecan Glazed French Toast Recipe

1 loaf of French or Italian bread
3 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Topping:
2 tbs butter melted
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Cinnamon Syrup:
1 cup sugar
2 tbs flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
2/3 cup water
3 tbs butter

Directions:
Directions:
The night before Spray 2 9 x 13 pans with nonstick spray. Slice bread diagonally into 1-inch thick slices.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and cinnamon. Add milk and vanilla. Dip slices into egg mixture, coating both sides. Arrange bread in prepared pans. Pour any remaining egg mixture over the top.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Remove pans from refrigerator and uncover 30 min. before baking. Sprinkle sugar and pecans over top. Drizzle melted butter over them.

Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.

Cinnamon Syrup:
Melt all together in a pan until boiling. Serve warm.
