1 pound hamburger, browned with some chopped onion and drained
1 can cut green beans or mixed vegetables, drained (reserve liquid)
1 can condensed tomato soup
4 slices American or Velveeta cheese
Parmesan cheese, grated
Worcestershire sauce
Salt, pepper, garlic powder
Mashed potato topping:
Instant mashed potatoes (8 servings)
1 egg

Mix hamburger, vegetables and soup. Add Worcestershire sauce and seasonings to taste. Use some of the reserved vegetable liquid to thin the mixture a little. Place in casserole dish and top with sliced cheese. Prepare mashed potato topping.

Mashed potato topping: Prepare instant mashed potatoes as directed for 8 servings, omitting milk. Stir in one egg to make potatoes stiff. Spread over hamburger mixture in casserole dish and sprinkle grated Parmesan over top. Bake at 350º for 35-45 minutes until potato topping is brown.

Use flavored mashed potatoes for a little kick of flavor. We like the roasted garlic mashed potatoes.
