2 c sugar
2 c shortening
2 well beaten eggs
1 c milk
1 Tbls vanilla
7 c flour
4 tsp Cream of Tarter
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
Filling
4 c ground raisins
1 c sugar
2 c water
4 tsp flour
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 9 ingredients together to make a fairly soft dough and chill for easy handling.

Place next 5 ingredients in sauce pan and cook for 10 minutes stirring often and then cool.

Roll dough very thin and cut with round cookie cutter. Place 1 Tbsp filling on each cookie and a
cookie on top of filling, the heat will seal the edges. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 º. These store very well.
