1/2 sugar
dash of salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 t. vanilla
1 & 1/2 cups quick cooking oats

Drizzle: Optional
1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
2 T. butter or margarine

Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Cover cookie sheets with aluminum foil, dull side up. In a small bowl beat sugar, salt, 1/2 cup butter & vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir in the oats, mix well. Dough will be crumbly. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 " apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Flatten slightly. Bake @ 375 for 4-6 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely. In a small saucepan melt chocolate chips & 2 T. butter, stirring constantly til well blended. Drizzle a small amount over each cookie. Refrigerate to set the chocolate.
