3-4 lbs. hamburger
1 chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1 tsp. salt
dash garlic powder

1 quart tomato juice
1/2 bottle Heinz 57 sauce
1/2 med. size bottle ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
Hamburger buns

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet brown the hamburger, onion, and green pepper. Drain off the grease. Season with salt and garlic powder. Add the tomato juice, Heinz 57, ketchup and brown sugar. Simmer until the juices thicken. Spoon over hamburger buns

This is my Grandma Geneil's recipe. She would bring this to us for lunch along with her wonderful potato salad when we branded calves in the springtime. We would have a picnic in the back of her pickup truck.
