2 cups sifted flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon sugar
½ cup Crisco
1 egg
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients together and cut into shortening. Mix beaten egg, milk and dry ingredients. Knead lightly. Pat out (don’t roll). Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown.
