1/4 c. sliced almonds
1 T. plus 1 tsp. sugar
sweet and sour dressing (below)
1/2 small head iceburg lettuce
1/2 bunch romaine lettuce
2 medium stalks celery, chopped (1 c.)
2 T. thinly sliced green onions
1 can (11 oz) mandarin orange segments, drained

Sweet and Sour dressing:
1/4 c vegetable oil
2 T. sugar
2 T. white vinegar
1 T. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook almonds and sugar in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until carmelized. Cool and break apart. Prepare Sweet and Sour dressing. Toss almonds, dressing and remaining ingredients.
