1 c. butter, softened
2 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
Filling
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. almond extract
Frosting
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 T. milk
1 t. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the butter, flour and powdered sugar for curst until crumbly. Pat in 9x13 ungreased pan. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes or just until lightly browned. Note if baking in a glass pan, bake at 325º
For filling: using electric mixer, beat together the cream cheese, eggs, sugar and almond extract. Pour over crust while still hot. Bake 15-20 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool.

Frosting: whisk together sugar, butter, milk and almond extract. Spread evenly on baked, cooled bars. Optional: sprinkle toasted, sliced almonds on top. Refrigerate. These bars freeze very well.
