12 oz. prunes
water to cover
1/4 c. sugar
4 c. flour
little salt
1 c. butter
4 t. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. evaporated milk



Directions:
Directions:
Cook prunes with water and 1/4 c. sugar until soft and thick. Cool.
Combine flour, salt, butter, baking powder, and 1/2 c. sugar. Combine beaten eggs and milk and add to flour mixture. Roll out and cut into squares,with a tart cutter and put about a teaspoon of prune mixture into each square and fold into a tart shape.
Bake at 375º for about 10-15 minutes.

May substitute apricots for the prunes.
