1 lb. lean ground beef
1 small single serve cup natural apple sauce (lunch box kind)
1 whole egg, beaten
1/2 c. ketchup
1 big squeeze of mustard
1/4 c. chopped white onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 small can tomato paste and a sprinkle of sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 - 2 c. oatmeal, as needed for texture

TOPPING:
1/4 c. ketchup
2 Tbsp. mustard

Warm meat by defrosting in microwave (This keeps your hands from being too cold.) Mix ingredients with clean hands in a large mixing bowl. Add oatmeal until consistency will maintain loaf shape.

Pat into two loaves and bake in a shallow glass dish at 350º for 45-60 minutes or until no pink remains in the meat. Spread topping on loaves.
