1 - 2 lbs. ground beef
1 Tbsp. diced onion

1 large or 2 small cans tomato paste
1 qt. tomato or V-8 juice
1/3 c. sugar (to taste)

1/2 Tbsp. dry spaghetti seasoning mix
1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. garlic pepper
1/2 Tbsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil

Directions:
Directions:

Brown ground beef in a large skillet; add diced onions and cook until onions are clear; drain off grease.

Add tomato paste, tomato juice and sugar. Then add spaghetti seasoning, garlic salt, garlic pepper, oregano and basil.

Cook on low for 1-2 hours, covered, stirring occasionally.


Meatballs may be substituted for ground beef. This sauce can be frozen or canned.
