Orange Cookies Recipe

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. crushed cornflakes
1/2 c. nuts (if desired)

Mix brown sugar, white sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and beat in soda in a teaspoon of water. Add flour, baking powder, oatmeal, cornflakes and nuts. Bake 15 minutes at 350 F.

2 c. powdered sugar
Orange juice with pulp

Mix together sugar and enough orange juice to make of spreading consistency. Spread over cookies.
