2 cups Milk (scalded)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs
3 pkgs yeast
1/2 cup very warm water
6 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Put your yeast into the warm water and sprinkle with 1 tsp sugar and let it proof while your milk is heating. Add sugar,salt and butter to milk. Let cool and then add yeast,vanilla and flour. Let it rise til double in bulk. Roll out and cut with donut cutter and let rise again until double. Fry until done.

Glaze:
powdered sugar and hot water. Dip donuts in glaze and enjoy with a good cup of coffee.
