Romaine lettuce
Dressing:
1 pkg. slivered almonds
1/2 t. salt
1 can mandarin oranges
1/4 t. tobasco sauce
1 c. celery
1/2 t. pepper
green onions, chopped
2 T. tarragon vinegar
parsley flakes
2 T. sugar

1/4 c. oil

Directions:
Directions:
To carmelize almonds: Put some sugar in a frying pan. Add almonds and cook at medium heat until the sugar carmelizes. Watch carefully! Cool on waxed paper and break apart with hammer.
Gently toss salad ingredients.
Shake dressing well. I usually double this recipe. Pour over as desired.
