1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
3 tbsp lemon juice

Frosting:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp soft butter
1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:

Cut butter into flour and powdered sugar. Pat into 8 x 8" pan. Bake in preheated 350º oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Mix sugar, flour and baking powder. Add eggs and lemon juice. Blend. Pour over baked mixture. Bake 25 minutes at 350º. Cool. Mix frosting ingredients. Stir until smooth and of spreading consistency. Cut into 2" squares. Makes 16.
