1 German chocolate cake mix 1 package caramels 1 stick or 1/2 cup margarine 1 c. chopped salted Spanish peanuts 1/3 c. milk 16 oz. package chocolate chips
Prepare cake as directed on box. Pour 1/2 batter into greased 9X13 pan. Bake 20 min. at 350º. Melt caramels with margarine and milk. Pour over cake. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts over the caramels. Dot top of batter with the remaining cake mix, Bake 20 more min. at 250º and 10 min. at 350º.
