cup margarine or butter {Milk, only a few margarine brands are free of milk products}
1 10 oz pkg regular marshmallows (about 40) OR 4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies or other dry cereal

1. Melt margarine using low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add cereal. Stir until well coated.
3. Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into a buttered 13x9x2-inch pan. Cut into squares when cool.
Yield: 24 squares, 2x2 inches

1. Use another type of cereal like corn flakes.
2. Add 1 cup raisins or other dried fruit with cereal.
3. For thicker squares, press warm mixture into buttered 9x9-inch pan.
4. Form shapes and cool on wax paper or aluminum foil.
