1 # Sweet Italian Sausage (casings removed)
1 Large onion chopped
2 medium apples,peeled cored and diced
1 T Olive oil
1 1/2 C. Water
1 C chicken broth
2 T butter
1 16 oz. package Herb seasoned stuffing mix
1 tsp. fennel seeds

Directions:
Directions:
In a skillet, brown sausage, drain and place in a large bowl. Crumble into pieces. Put the onion, and apple in the skillet and saute in oil until tender. Remove from heat. heat the water, broth and butter to a boil. In a bowl combine the stuffing mix with the liquid, toss until moistened. Add the fennel, blend. Add the stuffing mixture with the sausage, mix thoroughly. Can be used to stuff turkey or placed in a casserole dish and bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes.
