Hip Hugger Bars Recipe

Chocolate Filling:
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12oz) pkg chocolate chips
2 TBSP butter
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put condensed milk, chocolate chips, butter and vanilla in a saucepan on low heat. Stir constantly until melted and well combined. Set aside.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1-1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal

Cream butter/margarine and brown sugar together.
Add egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix flour, salt and baking soda.
Add to butter and sugar mixture.
Stir in oatmeal.

Grease 9X13 pan.
Pat 2/3 of crust mixture on bottom of pan.
Pour chocolate filling over top of crust, smoothing evenly.
Top with remaining crust mixture, patting it slightly into place. (There will not be enough to cover top completely).
Bake 20 minutes.
