2 lbs. lean stewing beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 large white onion, diced
1 cup diced celery
3 large pototoes, diced
16 baby carrots or 3 large carrots, cut into 1"
1 slice white bread cubes
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce with cheese
1 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Turn into a large, greased casserole dish. Cover and bake for 5 hrs at 250 degrees. Stir after 3 hrs.
