Ingredients:  
1 lb. fresh okra, sliced
1 - 1 1/2 lb. spicy smoked sausage, cut into 1" pieces
1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce & 1/2 can of water
1 med. onion, chopped fine
salt & pepper to taste
dash of tobasco, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in a little oil in a heavy saucepan. Add sausage, stir & brown lightly. Add okra, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, salt & pepper. Simmer until okra is tender. Add a little water if needed. Serve with cornbread or rice.

Substitute okra & sausage with zucchini & ground beef for something different.
