2 T. bacon drippings or margarine
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 clove minced garlic
1 1/2 lb. ground round
1 can stewed tomatoes
4 c. pork 'n beans
3/4 t. salt
1 bay leaf
1 t. sugar
2 T. chili powder
green onion, chopped
grated cheese

Melt bacon drippings/ margarine
Stir in onion and garlic. Add ground round. Saute' until meat is well done. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about 1 hour. Garnish with green onions and cheese. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.
