1 whole beef brisket trimmed of fat (4-7 lbs.)
1 large sweet onion thickly sliced
1 envelope Lipton's onion soup mix
1 12 oz. bottle chili sauce
1 12 oz. can Coca Cola (NOT DIET, you need the sugar)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking pan with extra-long heavy duty foil. Place brisket in center of foil. Sprinkle sliced onions on top, then soup mix and chili sauce. Pour coke over the top. Tent foil sealing edges well. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Remove meat to serving platter and cover loosely with foil. Strain all juices and onion into a saucepan pushing solids through strainer. Heat on medium high stirring frequently until mixture thickens and reduces. Slice brisket and pour sauce on top.
