2 cans French Onion Soup
Root Vegetables (optional)

1. Place brisket in a large roasting pan with “fat” side up. Season top side of meat with pepper and a little salt.
2. Bake uncovered @ 375 for 45 min – 1 hour, then cover the pan and cook for another hour.
3. Add 2 cans of French Onion soup, recover with lid and cook for another 2 hours (or until the meat shreds easily.)
4. Potatoes and/or carrots may be added during the last hour of cooking. Cooking time varies with size of the brisket.
5. Meat can be shredded or sliced to serve.
