Cranberry Nut Bread Recipe

2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. Crisco shortening
1 tsp. orange peel, grated
1 egg
3/4 c. orange juice
1 c. cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 F. Sift together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and soda. Cut in the shortening and add the peel, egg and juice. Fold in the cranberries and nuts. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes.
Makes 1 loaf
