1st Layer:
1 c. plain flour
1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

2nd Layer:
8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Cool Whip

3rd Layer:
2 small pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
3 1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla

4th Layer:
1 large tub Cool Whip

Directions:
Mix ingredients for first layer in rectangular baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool. Combine ingredients for second layer with mixer. Spread over cooled flour layer. Beat ingredients for third layer until pudding thickens. Spread over second layer. Spread Cool Whip on top. Chill for 1 hour or until set.
