2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Directions:
Directions:
Put dry ingredients into bowl. Add 1/2 cup shortening and 2/3 c. milk and beat till creamy. Add the remaining milk, 2 eggs vanilla and almond extract. Beat another 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan or 2 round pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes
