1 Cup butter or margarine
1 Cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
3 oz milk chocolate bar
12 oz package chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350
Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Mix in salt, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla and flour. In food processor combine chocolate bar and oatmeal. Process well. Add to sugar and egg mixture. Blend in chocolate chips and nuts. Shape into 36 large balls. I have used an ice cream scoop for this. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Do not flatten. Bake for 13 to 26 minutes. Cool on cooling rack.

Personal Notes:
These are the best chocolate chip cookies you've ever had. I used to make them and take them to work. The girls wanted to know what my secret was. I believe it was the milk chocolate bar and making them so thick. They sure did go in a hurry. Enjoy!!
