1 c. soft butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. (unsweetened) applesauce
3 t. cinnamon
2 t. allspice
1 t. ground cloves
1 t. salt
2 t. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in applesauce and spices. Sift together salt, soda and flour. Add to applesauce mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts. Bake in lightly greased miniature muffins pans at 350 8 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. Batter will keep up to 6 weeks in refrigerator.
