Preheat oven to 450º
Cut ends off asparagus or use the old "hold it at both ends and see where it breaks" trick. Cut pieces the same length
Place on a cookie sheet and drizzle about 1/2 cup evoo over the top along with the salt and pepper. Roast for about 15 minutes, turning once. Serve warm
For a real treat, try wrapping a slice of prosciutto around the asparagus. Roast for the same time, but at 425
