3/4 c. Butter Flavor Crisco
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. large pecan pieces (I use chopped walnuts)
1 pkg. chocolate chips
* If nuts are omitted use 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º.

Cream Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Blend until creamy. Blend in egg.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. (for chewy cookies, take out of the oven a little early, they will look light and moist). DO NOT OVERBAKE. If you like crisp cookies bake for 11-13 minutes.
Cool.
