Sift: Gradually add:
1 3/4c. flour 1/2c sugar
1 tsp. baking soda 1/2c brown sugar cream well.
1/2 tsp. salt Add 1 egg
Cream together: 2 tbsp milk
1/2 c. shorting 1 tsp. vanilla beat well
1/2c peanut butter

Directions:

Sift, cream, and gradually add above. Blend dry ingredients gradually, mix thoroughly. Shape by rounded tsp. into ball. Rolling sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 minutes.remove from oven & place a solid milk chocolate candy kiss on top of each cookie pressing down so that the cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven. Bake 2 -5 mins longer.
