3 to 3-1/2 frying chicken pieces
1/4 c flour
1/4 c melted butter
2/3 c evaporated milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c grated process American cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 c drained whole onions
1/4 lb sliced mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Coat chicken with flour. Arrange in single layer with skins down in melted butter in 9 x 13 baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 425º for 30 minutes. Turn chicken, bake until brown, 15 or 20 minutes longer.
Remove from oven; reduce temperature to 325º. Pour off excess fat. Combine milk, soup, cheese, salt and pepper. Add onions and mushrooms to chicken. Pour milk mixture over chicken. Cover with foil. Return to oven; continue baking 15 or 20 minutes.
