2 lb. chuck roast, cut in 1 inch cubes
6 or 8 small onions, whole or in halves
5 carrots, cut in chunks
4 potatoes, cut in 2 inch pieces
1 small cabbage, quartered or eights
4 stalks celery, cut in chunks
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cover meat with water ans simmer. When tender, add carrots, celery,onions and potatoes. Add cabbage last and steam until done.

You can add a beef bouillon for extra flavor.

For a different meat: use beef brisket, corned beef or pork shoulder.
